For ...Long time readers may remember that I wrote an article about the Roblox game The Wild West. Now a new update is out , and I wanted to take some time and show it to you. Without further ado , let’s get right into this!
Forts!
Definitely the coolest thing about this is the forts! This gives players who have all the items in the game something to do , rather than massacre everyone in Bronze City. Taking a fort will give you a ton of cool items , like the new Volcanic Rifle and Revolver. Plus Flare Guns and Smoke Bombs. You can also take hostages , as the fort provides you with a holding cell. Getting a fort is insanely hard , though , since they have a strategic advantage (they can fire down on you) and they have a bunch of Gatling Guns on the fort walls. Not to mention anyone even near a fort can be legally killed (without the player getting a bounty) In my opinion , you need at least 3 players to even take a crack at it (I should know , I spent hours trying to capture it solo). The only problem is that maintaining a fort is extremely expensive ,and holding it for a couple hours (real time) will probably cost you around $3000 in-game money. Between ammo for the Gatling Guns , bandages to heal yourself , logs to repair the gate , and buying the new guns , you’ll go bankrupt pretty fast.
Gatling Guns
Gatling Guns , if you didn’t know , are basically old-timey Miniguns. They have an extremely fast rate of fire , and do moderate damage , enough to kill a player in a couple shots. This is the ace in the hole for people trying to defend forts. Some of the guns have shields on them , covering you from snipers. Sadly , you can’t move them around , they stay rooted into the fort , and their ammo costs money. Thirty-six bullets will set you back seventy-five bucks.
Two New Weapons!
Excluding the Gatling Gun, of course , two new weapons have been added into the game. These can only be bought at forts. These are the Volcanic Rifle (only can be bought at Fort Spencer) and the Volcanic Revolver (only can be bought at Fort Henry). I’ve only been able to try the Volcanic rifle , and it is really good. You can fan-fire it , accelerating it’s rate of fire. That , and the fact that it has ten shots , makes it a formidable weapon. I haven’t been able to try the volcanic revolver , so I really can judge it , though it looks good. They’re both really cheap , only eighty dollars. There’s only one catch…. these weapons drop on death. If you die , you have to buy the gun again.
